WordChanger ("the app", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data is processed when you use the WordChanger iOS app, and how.
WordChanger works without an account. The information you enter is stored locally on your iPhone only:
We have no access to this data. It is deleted when you uninstall the app. We never sell any personal data. The only third-party services used by the app are described below.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store). We use RevenueCat to validate subscriptions: it receives an anonymous device identifier and the transaction history, never your identity or payment details (those stay with Apple). See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
With your consent, we measure anonymous usage events (e.g. "paywall shown", "quote shared") through Google Firebase Analytics, in order to improve the app. No personal content (first name, quiz answers, favorites) is ever transmitted.
You can turn these statistics off at any time in Settings → Analytics. Your choice is applied immediately.
The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To display them, AdMob processes technical information about the device (model, iOS version, language, IP address, interactions with ads).
If you allow it in the iOS "Allow Tracking" prompt (App Tracking Transparency), the device's advertising identifier may be used to show personalized ads. If you decline, ads are not personalized. You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Premium subscribers see no ads. See Google's advertising policies.
To fix bugs, the app sends crash reports through Google Firebase Crashlytics: device model, iOS and app versions, and the technical trace of the error. They contain neither your identity nor your content.
Daily notifications are local notifications: they are scheduled on your device and never go through any server. You can disable them in the app or in iOS settings.
Since your data is stored locally, you have direct control over it: you can view and edit it in the app, and delete all of it by uninstalling the app. For any question or request regarding your rights (access, rectification, erasure), please contact us.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data about them.
